Abstract

Server virtualisation is addressing tomorrow’s environmental challenges by enabling higher average server utilisation and reduced electricity consumption resulting in decreased green house emissions. In this presentation Server Oriented Performance Modelling (SOPM) technology that enables the performance and scalability of SOAs to be predicted on virtualised server environments is examined using the NICTA developed ePASA simulation tool. The presentation draws on empirically trialled and validated research with collaborating Australian government departments.
